e-merge unleashes Con-X job Dispatch for Android, making smarter job dispatch even more accessible to customers across any industry, of any size.

Whether it’s business or pleasure, many of our customers already use existing consumer grade Smartphone devices, along with a plethora of consumer and business apps to improve their productivity.....so why carry something else just for job dispatch?

e-merge have recognised this. While many of our customer's field operations require separate business grade devices to handle complex work in challenging environments with specialised support, there are those out there that want the device they use at home and in the office to handle what they do in the field.

In addition to our enterprise customers, we now have small business owners signing up to Con-X, who have the option of using entry level to high end consumer Android devices.

Major upgrades to Con-X coming in 2012....

We will be working hard in the background over the next couple of months to bring some major improvements to both the base and mobile platforms.

We are soon to release our first major enhancements to our Windows mobile enterprise platform.

Our major upgrade to Con-X for Windows mobile enterprise is well underway. We’ve listened to our mobile users and are completing major enhancements.

Key items under development include simplified improvements to general usability and navigation, more access to job, asset and site information, addition of user and job location maps, driving directions.......and more..........

Con-X high response job scheduling tool goes live, makes light work of job dispatch

e-merge customers have spoken and we’ve listened. Making quick decisions about who to dispatch urgent jobs to can be tough, even tougher when you can’t see in real time where your mobile field staff are, and what they are up to.

Quite often Con-X users get calls from customers who need urgent jobs completed in the field. So e-merge set to work on understanding how users decide who new jobs should go to, and after talking to customers came up with some simple drag and drop job dispatch tools to help people figure this out.

Our users can now within minutes create urgent jobs, use our job dispatch mapping to answer questions such as who’s working close by, do they have the right skills, is their calendar already full? Once they figure this out, they simply drag and drop the job onto the right users calendar.

Dispatching the right job to the right person just got a lot simpler.

Our new integration and communications platform is now better than ever...

If you already have reliable office solutions for accounting, asset and CRM, and just need to get all this information out into the field faster, replacing them with a “jack of all trades, master of none” job dispatch system makes no sense.

We’ve recognised this and have finally produced our robust web services application interface (API) for Con-X. Users can push and pull new and completed job information into and out of Con-X to their standards, without exposing their systems to external parties.

Now our customers have complete control over managing the process of collecting job, time and materials, customer and asset information from the office to the field and back again.

More than 10,000 images are now being collected each month using the Con-X image management service—and this is expected to double over the next quarter as clients continue to appreciate the management benefits. Using Con-X job dispatch, images are tagged and linked, and follow all types of field job characteristics – and they are all available to view in real time.

Con-X has effectively streamlined the whole job dispatch process of gathering photo evidence of mobile field activities and extending business visibility. With Con-x, there’s no need to consider using a digital camera again, requiring images to be downloaded when returning to base—and the potential of confusing which image matches which job—not to mention maintaining room to store them all on your server.
